Phoenix, AZ currently enforces the 2024 International Building Code. Phoenix adopts its own code editions. Arizona has no statewide building code; the 2024 Phoenix Building Construction Code (Ordinance G-7397, approved June 18, 2025, effective Aug 1, 2025) adopts the 2024 I-Codes with the 2023 NEC and permits both the 2024 IPC and 2024 UPC for plumbing, while the separately administered Phoenix Fire Code moved to the amended 2024 IFC effective Feb 17, 2026.
