Fort Worth, TX currently enforces the 2021 International Building Code. Fort Worth adopts its own code editions. Fort Worth adopted the 2021 I-Codes with North Central Texas COG-based local amendments effective 2022-04-01, later adopted the 2023 NEC effective 2024-03-01 (Ord. 26721-02-2024), and its energy code remains the 2015 IECC (the Texas state minimum) per City Code sec. 7-41.
